Klik link Download now untuk mengunduh SEUS terbaru. File instalasi Update_Service_Setup-2.8.12.9.exe (Sony Ericsson Update Service versi 2.8.12.9) berukuran lebih dari 25MB.

2. Bila telah diunduh, SEUS harus segera diinstalasikan. Klik ikon Update Service pada desktop atau menu start. Saat Layanan Pemutakhiran dijalankan, aplikasi ini akan mengakses internet untuk mengunduh konten yang diperlukan untuk menjalankan layanan ini. Proses ini mungkin perlu beberapa menit, bergantung kecepatan koneksi internet Anda.

3. Pilih bahasa yang Anda sukai dan ikuti petunjuk yang muncul. Khusus untuk P900 atau P910, jika PC suite sudah di-instal, klik dua kali Phone Connection dan hilangkan tanda cek pada port USB.

4. Di halaman sambutan Layanan Update, klik tombol Mulai. Saat muncul perjanjian layanan, setujui perjanjian tersebut. Setelah itu, pilih model ponsel yang Anda punya sesuai dengan gambar. Lanjutkan dengan memilih tipe ponsel sesuai dengan gambar yang muncul di layar. Tak lama kemudian akan muncul petunjuk cara menghubungkan ponsel ke komputer dalam posisi siap di-flashing. Ikuti petunjuk tersebut dengan teliti sesuai dengan tahapannya. Tahapan ini berbeda-beda tergantung pada jenis ponsel.

5. Jika Anda telah sampai pada tahap akhir, aplikasi SEUS akan secara otomatis melanjutkan proses dengan mendeteksi versi firmware di ponsel Anda dengan versi terbaru yang tersedia di internet. Apabila versi terbaru telah tersedia, Anda akan diajak untuk melanjutkan ke proses selanjutnya.

6. Proses berikutnya akan memakan waktu yang agak lama, tergantung pada koneksi internet Anda. SEUS akan mengunduh firmware ponsel yang ukurannya berkisar 10-65 MB. Pada tahapan ini pastikan arus listrik tidak terputus dan internet tidak mati.

Saat Sinyal mencoba trik ini, kebetulan koneksi internet tiba-tiba terputus di posisi 67 persen. Panik, sudah pasti, apalagi aplikasi SEUS tidak dapat dimatikan dengan alasan proses pemutakhiran sedang berlangsung. Jika Anda mengalami hal ini, matikan saja proses Update Service dengan paksa melalui Task Manager dan ulangi proses dari awal.

7. Bila pengunduhan telah selesai, SEUS secara otomatis akan melanjutkan ke tahapan selanjutnya, yaitu flashing firmware ponsel. Lagi-lagi Anda harus memastikan arus listrik tidak terputus. Tapi kali ini lebih serius. Jika dalam proses flashing terjadi pemadaman listrik atau koneksi kabel dari PC ke ponsel terputus, bisa dipastikan ponsel tidak dapat menyala setelahnya. Ini disebabkan firmware ponsel terkorupsi. Oleh karena itu, gunakan PC yang dilangkapi dengan UPS, atau notebook yang baterainya masih baik saat flashing guna menghindari hilangnya asupan listrik secara tiba-tiba saat proses flashing. Tenang saja, proses flashing tidak akan berlangsung lama, hanya beberapa menit. Selanjutnya, Anda sudah bisa menikmati ponsel “baru”.

TIPS
Jangan lupa untuk melakukan back-up penuh terhadap data-data di ponsel sebelum melakukan pemutakhiran. Setelah proses flashing, semua data akan hilang. Untuk keperluan backup, Anda dapat menggunakan aplikasi Sony Ericsson PC Suite atau aplikasi pihak ketiga, seperti My Phone Explorer dan sejenisnya.

Sebelumnya pada versi beta, user diberi kesempatan untuk ‘mengenal’ fitur-fitur baru pada Windows 7. Kini RC 1 hadir dengan penyempurnaan dari fitur-fitur tersebut.

Versi terakhir yang dirilis adalah operamini versi 4.2. Dibandingkan dengan versi 3 dan 2, versi 4 ini mengalami banyak perubahan, terutama dari segi tampilan yang mampu menampilkan halaman web secara penuh. Jika bosan, skin nya pun bisa diganti sesuai selera. Kabar terakhir dari opera mini ini katanya dalam waktu dekat, opera mini versi 5 akan dirilis.
